As revealed recently in an announcement made by the full-suite cryptocurrency exchange, Bit.com, two meme tokens named LEASH and BONE will be launched on February 10, 2022. The second-largest BTC and ETH options market in terms of trading volume said that LEASH and BONE tokens will be launched at noon on the scheduled date.
Both the tokens are segments of the Shiba Inu ecosystem with LEASH often termed as the “Doge Killer,” with BONE being designed as the potential governance DAO token. Starting from February 10, 2022, Bit.com users will be able to deposit and withdraw these tokens as LEASH/USDT and BONE/USDT trading pairs will be available.
Though there have always been uncertainties in the minds of serious investors when it comes to the surging popularity and adoption of meme coins. However, it should be noted that these meme tokens are a clear representation of community movement fueled by creativity and affection.
As per the official description of the two tokens, the LEASH token is developed in order to incentivize the liquidity provided. The token was initially created as a rebase token or rather we should term it a stablecoin but is now released from any underpinning asset.
Meme Communities Exhibiting Commendable Resistance to Market Volatility
Toya Zhang, the Chief Marketing Officer at Bit.com released statements in favor of meme culture and quoting the example of the Shiba Inu community, mentioned that these communities have illustrated great resistance to the fluctuations in the market.
In addition to this, it should be laid an emphasis on that the Shiba Inu community is favored by more than 90,000 holders. According to Toya Zhang, the meme community is fluid, thus resistant.
Detailing further about the cryptocurrency exchange that is listing the two tokens on its platform, Bit.com was launched by an integrated financial services company that is headquartered in Singapore. Marking its beginning in the month of August of the year 2020, Bit.com has become the second-largest Bitcoin and Ethereum options market in terms of the trading volume.
