MidNight
Midnight, built on Substrate, is a data protection-focused Layer 1 Blockchain that enables developers to create data-protecting smart contracts in TypeScript.
Blockchains have advanced from digital assets (Bitcoin) to decentralised applications (Ethereum) to interoperable ecosystems (Polkadot), yet we have yet to see 'mass adoption.' A major issue is data protection.
Fully public chains are not attractive to enterprises, and entirely private chains are not regulatory compliant. The advancement of zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs can enable programmable privacy and selective disclosure, which can unblock demand for and usage of Dapps.
This is a privacy-focused blockchain platform designed to enhance security and anonymity in digital transactions. It incorporates advanced cryptographic techniques to ensure that transactions and data are kept confidential, even from the network. This approach aims to provide users with greater control over their data and transactions, minimizing the risk of exposure to third parties.
MidNight Blockchain is part of the growing movement towards more private and secure blockchain solutions, addressing the concerns of users who prioritize confidentiality in their digital interactions.
