When it comes to racing simulation games, players tend to get the most premium experience when collaborations with real car companies are involved. For this reason, it is always heartening to see a new racing sim game developer go out of their way to forge these collaborations right from the very start.
An upcoming Web3 car racing sim platform Icon.X World is beta-launching in September and has strategic alliances with key Formula One luxury car brands such as Aston Martin Racing, Alpine and Mirage. IconX CEO Jonathan Behar points to these collaborations as validation of his teamâs hard work to build an unparalleled platform that repositions car racing esports with blockchain technology.
Tying in with their business alliances, Icon.X World recently hosted the racing teams from Aston Martin and Mirage at Paris Blockchain Week. Aston Martin driver Valentin Hasse Clot test-drove the game and challenged other players to beat his record. At the NFT Paris event earlier this year, Icon.X also collaborated with Alpineâs Web3 arm âAlpine NFTâ to create dynamic custom car skins, which can be seen in the following video demonstration:
Taking the Racing Sim Genre to a Whole New Level
Icon.X World offers an immersive âultra-realisticâ play experience that allows players to claim ownership of their vehicles as NFTs, customize their cars with skins designed by top artists, and participate in ranked races to earn rewards and make a name for themselves in the Icon.X World racing community.
The game is being closely developed with direct feedback from gaming enthusiast closed beta testers, with the aim of creating a racing experience that is fully authentic and optimized for player immersion. Thus far, players have heaped praise on Icon.X World for highly realistic racing sim gameplay, high fidelity graphics and immersive NFT integration that further blurs the lines between real and video game car racing.
The gameâs public beta is scheduled to launch during Singaporeâs Token2049 conference, where Beta participants will be able to experience decentralized car racing as an e-sport. The timing happens to coincide with the cityâs Formula One Week, a massive event in Singapore, attracting thousands of people.
While there are hundreds of games with Play-and-Earn (P&E) tokens out there, most of them are not immersive. Icon.X CEO Jonathan Behar said that he hopes the game will usher in a new era for car racing esports, and hinted that the platform has vast potential for future development.
Icon.X World is now kicking off an Asia Tour led by Web3 accelerator Native Capital that will see the team introduce its e-racing platform at top APAC Web3 events, starting with Coinfest Asia in August 2023 and continue into September with Korea Blockchain Week, Token2049, Philippine Blockchain Week and the Tokyo Game Show, finishing up with ETH Vietnam in November.
