Rooted in 1990s nostalgia, the Metaverse is bringing our sci-fi-inspired dreams of virtual reality to life. But people's excitement about virtual worlds varies drastically depending on where they live in the real world. So where are people most interested in joining the Metaverse?
By analyzing Google searches and over 1.6 million Metaverse-related tweets, Coin Kickoff was able to uncover which countries (and U.S. states) are most interested in the Metaverse.

Key findings from the study include:
- People in the Philippines are most interested in the Metaverse, with 2,421 Google searches for it per 1000 people.
- Florida residents are most keen to explore the Metaverse, with 670 searches per 1,000 people.
- Vietnamese people are most positive about the Metaverse, with 56.8% of Twitter posts about the virtual worlds in favor of them.
- With 14.4% of tweets containing negativity towards the Metaverse, Irish residents are most skeptical about the concept.
