Crypterium, a leading provider of crypto-focused cards has now introduced a new virtual card in partnership with Apple Pay.
This is huge news for the cryptocurrency-based payments industry and a significant leap forward in digital asset adoption. Also this one of the many reasons why Crypterium was named one of the 50 “rising stars” by KPMG.
Crypterium Brings Its Users A Crypto Virtual Card For Added Speed, Safety, Accessibility, And Security
Crypterium recently announced the offering of a Visa card for spending crypto tokens anywhere where Visa cards are accepted. Soon after this development, the company took another major step to bring digital assets to the masses (read Apple device users). And how?
Through a new partnership with Apple Pay.
Crypterium will allow first-time users to select between a plastic card, a virtual card, or a combination of the two. Folks who already have a plastic card may also request a virtual card. But the offering is limited to one free virtual card per user. Set up takes just two minutes or less, requiring a one-time KYC for initial orders.
Users can manually add their card, plastic or virtual, though Apple Pay for Apple devices like iPhone and Apple Watch, and take advantage of all of the features the contactless payment provider offers.
The partnership between Crypterium and Apple Pay will allow Crypterium users to flash spend crypto through their Crypterium card at any POS terminal.
Not only does Crypterium’s new virtual card offer unparalleled accessibility to cryptocurrency spending, paying through Apple Pay will limit any need to touch or interact with any POS terminals physically, effectively eliminating any dependance on cash.
KPMG “Rising Star” Believes Digital Technology Is The Future, Doubles Down With Virtual Card
Crypterium CEO and former Visa GM Steven Parker says that “digital technology” like cryptocurrencies, Apple Pay, and the Crypterium card and wallet app, are “the future.”
“Our world is always changing, first from paper bills to plastic cards. Now from plastic cards to virtual cards. That’s why the Crypterium team worked on making the option for users to integrate their virtual card with Apple Pay a reality,” he added.
And in today’s tech-driven world where cybersecurity threats are around every corner, the Crypterium virtual card also prevents card information from being stolen or abused.
The company’s team plans on adding up to five cards per user, along with a way to automatically add the virtual card to Apple Pay through the Crypterium wallet app. They are also working on integrating the virtual card with Google Play for Android users in the future.
