Twitch Streamer Receives Bitcoin Donation Worth $73,000 Without Explanation
A twitch gamer has received a donation of $73,000 worth of Bitcoin (BTC) during a live stream a few days ago. The user Sick_Nerd received the generous donation from the user ‘lightpuma.’ During this live stream, Sick_Nerd was gifted £57,641 that are equal to $74,000 at the time of writing the article, a little bit more than 20 BTC.
The gamer was playing the MMORPG RuneScape, a game that received an award after having more than 250 million users, the largest number of players for a Massively Multiplayer Online video game.
The first donation received by the gamer was 4 BTC and everyone was very excited about it. At that time, the gift was worth $14,000. After this donation, he received 11 BTC, this is why he thought that someone was messing with him. Finally, he ended up receiving 20 BTC. After all, he wrote a tweet saying thanks to the user that gifted him this large sum of money.
Thank you to my mysteriously benefactor whoever you are, genuinely a life changing amount of money that I or nobody deserves but look what happened.Crazy

Twitch is currently working with a company called Streamlabs that allows individuals to receive cryptocurrencies as donations. The digital currencies accepted include Bitcoin (BTC), Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Ethereum (ETH).
Although this was a very large donation, other streamers receive a large number of funds as well. Just one of the streamers, Tyler ‘Ninja’ Blevins received $10 million in donations in 2018. Additionally, he signed up other sponsorships with top-brands.
This is not the first time that there is an important donation in the cryptocurrency world. There are usually campaigns in which users tend to donate funds for people in need. One of these examples is the Pineapple Fund, that gave $55 million in BTC to charities from all over the world.
