In recent news pertaining to altcoins, Bitgo has announced the addition of Zcash to the roster of cryptocurrencies supported by the cryptocurrency custody firm; Wirex has enabled XRP support for its cryptocurrency debit card; and Tezos has commissioned PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to audit the Tezos foundationâs finances and operations.

Bitgo Offers Zcash Custody
Bitgo, a company providing âinstitutional-grade cryptocurrency securityâ services, has announced that it has enabled support for Zcash. The announcement follows the addition of 57 ERC tokens last week.
Bitgoâs chief technology officer, Ben Chan, stated: âAs one of the worldâs most valuable and technologically demanding digital currencies, Zcash is an important new asset for our institutional investors.â
Zcash engineer, Brad Miller, stated that âThe Zcash Company ecosystem team and Bitgo worked collaboratively to ensure Zcash is well integrated and supported [âŠ] With Bitgoâs exceptional standards, institutional grade, multi-signature security and custody services, investors are able to seamlessly send and receive Zcash in a safe and secure way.â
Wirex Enables XRP Support for Crypto Debit Card
Wirex, a provider of cryptocurrency wallets linked to Visa debit cards, has launched support for XRP. According to a press release issued by the company, Wirex customers are now able to âbuy, sell, exchange and deposit Ripple (XRP) using the Wirex App.â
Wirex customers are now able to trade XRP for 50 alternative cryptocurrencies, in addition to USD, GBP, EUR, BTC, and LTC.
PwC Switzerland to Audit Tezosâ âFinances and Operationsâ
Tezos has announced that PricewaterhouseCoopers Switzerland will audit the âfinances and operationsâ of the Tezos foundation. The Tezos foundation has described the enlisting as comprising the first instance in which a âlarge-scale blockchain organization [has been] accepted as an audit client.â
Tezos describing PricewaterhouseCoopers as âamong the most respected accounting firms in the world, with extensive experience auditing complex operations in a wide variety of environments globally.â
A week ago, it was revealed that PwC, alongside Deloitte, EY, and KPMG, will participate in a trial in partnership with Taiwanâs Financial Information Service Co. and twenty Taiwanese banks. The trial will see the four firms conduct external confirmation auditing using distributed ledger technology.
