KuCoin Launches Fast API Service: OAuth 2.0 Integration for Secure Trading

We are pleased to announce the launch of the KuCoin Broker Fast API Service, a significant upgrade to our API offerings. This new service introduces KuCoin OAuth2.0 login, an one-click authorization linked to third-party applications, enhancing trading security and simplifying the connection between KuCoin and brokers.

Key features of the Fast API Service:

• No need for manual binding of passphrase or API key (version3)
• Automatic API key generation and broker connection via OAuth
• Default permissions for spot trading, futures trading, and KuCoin Earn access
• Enhanced security for trading operations

Brokers looking to integrate this service should prepare the information and submit the form:

• Broker’s full IP list for requesting Fast API Service
• Broker’s full IP list for trading
• Redirect URL
• Upon submission, KuCoin will provide brokers with their unique client_id and client_secret.

Two types of tokens are issued after authorization:

• Access token: Used to call KuCoin OpenAPI endpoints
• Refresh token: Used to obtain a new access token upon expiration

To use tokens:

• Broker completes authorization and obtains tokens
• Access token is used to call KuCoin OpenAPI endpoints
• When making requests, include the access token in the request header

Token Validity:

• Access token valid for 1 hour, refresh token valid for 3 days.
• If the access token expires, the endpoint becomes inaccessible. If the refresh token is still valid, the broker needs to call the refresh token endpoint to obtain a new pair of access token and refresh token. Only the new access token can continue to be used.
