Bitfinex to List PORTAL, Native Token of Portal

ROAD TOWN, British Virgin Islands – 21st May, 2024 – Bitfinex (https://www.bitfinex.com), a premier digital asset trading platform, announced today that it will list PORTAL, the native token of Portal, a multi-chain web3 gaming platform.

Web3 gaming is growing immensely, with its market size expected to reach nearly $614 billion by 2030, representing an almost 300% increase from a 2023 valuation of $154 billion. In collaboration with LayerZero, a protocol that enables blockchain interoperability,  Portal facilitates a multi-chain experience by connecting a variety of Web3 games with new players across blockchains. Among the platform’s features is the Portal Passport, a one-stop login solution that holds a user’s gamer identities and assets across various games. 

As the native token for the platform, PORTAL serves a multitude of functions, including accessing exclusive NFTs, voting rights in governance, staking for yield, and in-game use for purchasing and selling game items.

Deposits for PORTAL are expected to open at approximately 10:00 AM UTC on May 21st, 2024, subject to network conditions. Trading is planned to commence at approximately 10:00 AM UTC on May 24th, 2024, contingent upon liquidity requirements being met. PORTAL will be tradable against US Dollars (PORTAL/USD) and Tether tokens (PORTAL/USDt).
