Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world, recently announced it is teaming up again with legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo to launch another NFT collection. The new collaboration comes on the heels of their hugely successful first NFT launch last year, where Ronaldo’s debut NFT collection sold out within the first week.
The ForeverCR7: The GOAT NFT Collection
Ronaldo is considered by many to be one of the greatest footballers of all time with 838 career goals to date. This new collection will feature memorable goals, celebrations, and achievements from Ronaldo’s historic career, captured in a collection of over 29,000 NFTs. One of these is Ronaldo’s bicycle kick goal against Juventus in the UEFA Champions League.
Like the first collection, the new collection will drop on July 3 across four rarity levels: Super Super Rare (SSR), Super Rare (SR), Rare (R), and Normal (N). Of the seven NFTs in the Super Super Rare level, six will be sold via auction, with prices starting at $15,000. Holders will have access to an in-person training session with Ronaldo and tickets to an upcoming Binance Blockchain Week.
“As the first drop was the most successful athlete NFT collection of all time, we wanted to keep building and creating more value for our community with this second collection,” said Binance Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer, Yi He.
The SR and R NFTs will be available for purchase starting at $200 and $30, respectively, while the remaining 28,000 Normal (N) variations will be made accessible exclusively with the purchase of a ForeverCR7 Box priced at $10 each.
A Look Back At The Success Of The First CR7 NFT Collection
As one of the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Binance continues to forge new partnerships that push the envelope in sports and crypto. Last year, Binance launched the first NFT collection of 8,638 premium NFTs across four rarity levels in collaboration with legendary footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
When the collection dropped in November 2022, all the NFTs sold out within the first week, with the top-tier NFTs selling for an average auction price of $22,800.
Given Ronaldo’s massive social following, the collection is likely to sell out very soon. Now, football fans worldwide will have another chance to own and collect digital memorabilia from some of his most memorable achievements.
Fans who purchased CR7 NFTs from the first collection will not only have access to this 2nd set, but holders can be eligible to receive complimentary NFT Mystery Boxes and high-rarity NFTs from the new collection. All Cristiano Ronaldo NFT collections will be available only on the global binance.com platform.
