Anchorage Digital Names CJ Jouhal as Head of Engineering

Industry Veteran to Lead and Scale Engineering Team at Federally Regulated Digital Asset Platform

Anchorage Digital is ever-committed to growing and expanding our products and services to meet client needs and maturity of the digital asset and blockchain industry. From support for new cryptocurrencies to building client partnerships using our APIs, we need a strong, capable engineering team that can work effectively to build and ship. Today, Anchorage Digital is proud to announce the addition of CJ Jouhal as our new Head of Engineering, who will lead and scale our global team.

CJ comes to Anchorage Digital as a seasoned security engineer, with over two decades of experience in technical and project leadership across a wide variety of programming languages. Most recently, he served as Chief Technology Officer at CLEAR, where he led the engineering team during a critical period of maturation, which included the company going public in June 2021. CJ has also held senior leadership positions at other technology companies, including Zocdoc, Amazon’s Audible, and eBay.

Anchorage Digital set the ambitious goal of tripling our engineering team’s headcount by the end of 2022 — a goal we are currently on track to meet. As Head of Engineering, CJ will play a key role in scaling the team, while maintaining Anchorage Digital’s culture of sustainable growth that has been proven to attract and retain top talent.
