The cashless store is launching and retail will be completely transformed to a next level. The traditional brick and mortar looking store hits your right at the front door when you make an entry. It looks like a subway station allowing people to enter via a QR code generated in the Amazon app.

AmazonGo went live this week in Seattle right near the Amazon campus after one year of beta testing. It use the most high tech technology to keep track of what the shoppers are buying. And this high tech store will completely change the retail experience and boost it to the next level.

No lines. No checkout. No, seriously.

4 year ago they started the wonder what would shopping look like if you walk into a store grab what you want and just go.

What if we can use the most advanced machine learning , computer vision and AI into the supermarkets. So u never have to wait in line no lines no checkouts no registers that’s what AmazonGo is. It’s just a simple grab and go experience.

In the history of retail we can say this is a big moment. Chinese and other retailers across the globe will also try to replicate the same idea to provide a seamless customer experience as Amazon is providing through AmazonGo. That’s why Amazon is not leaking the technology they used.

How does AmazonGo works?

Use the AmazonGo app to enter the store just scan your barcode at the gate. Then put away your phone and start shopping its really that simple isn’t it.

Take whatever you like anything you pick up is automatically added to your cart. If you change your mind about that product just put it back its technology will update your virtual card automatically.

It uses computer vision, deep learning algorithms and sensor fusion much like its found in self driving cars they call it just walk out technology once you got everything you want, you can just go.

It uses multiple cameras and sensor and these cameras and sensors are spread throughout the store to know the location of the products.

There are no shopping carts or baskets inside AmazonGo. Instead in AmazonGo customers directly put the products inside the shopping bags which is available in the store.

Amazon’s technology simply changes the role of employees. Employees are basically for helping customers to troubleshoot any technical issue and for restocking shelves.

Employees are available to help the customers find items. And there is kitchen next door with chefs preparing fresh meals for sale. Employees sit in wine and beer section to check the ID cards before taking it out of shelve.
