Miami’s premiere crypto firm Blockchain.com partners with Florida International University to drive crypto education
DAOs and dApps will come to the classroom thanks to a partnership between Blockchain.com and Florida International University (FIU).
Our investment in FIU will create a talent pipeline for current and future FIU students interested in cryptocurrency and Web3. Housed in the Division of Academic and Student Affairs, the partnership will help FIU launch innovative micro-credentials, class courses on cryptocurrency and Web3, internship pathways, and industry experiences within the classroom to create a talent pipeline into Miami’s new technology ecosystem.
Starting in the 2023 school year, students can take new classes in cryptocurrency, Web3, and blockchain as the broader community enjoys access to internships, apprenticeships, guest workshops, and more.
FIU, a public research university, is the fifth largest in the US by enrollment, and boasts a student population of 60,000 with 190 degree programs. It has graduated approximately 5,000 computer science and IT professionals in recent years, and is a top producer of minority graduates in STEM.
Top universities have added blockchain-related courses to the curriculum in recent years, and for good reason: there are nearly 10,000 open crypto roles globally.
Stay tuned to learn more about the classes, micro-credential opportunities, and partnership between Blockchain.com and FIU. We’re proud to partner with a world class university to increase Web3 education and continue making crypto more accessible for anyone, anywhere.
