Alec Monopoly, a renowned American street artist, has launched his “Rags to Richie” NFT collection, according to news shared with Invezz.
The New York-based artist is collaborating on the project with NFT platform Hypermint and NFT art curator NFTGrails.
The project will also benefit from the artist’s partnership with JOYSTICK, with an exhibition in an immersive SandBox Club and Art Gallery in the metaverse.
The collection’s minting partner is HyperMint, MoonPay’s new self-service platform.
A collection with 10,000 unique NFTs
The “Rags to Richie” NFT collection offers access to various benefits, including the play-to-earn (P2E) NFT game, a metaverse club and a DigitalArt Gallery. There’s also access to in-person exclusive events, while collectors have the opportunity to earn handsome rewards from giveaways and prizes worth over $1 million.
The NFTs are based on a new character by Monopoly, with 10,000 unique pieces that combine the best elements of his creations.
Alec expressed excitement at having more people participate in the project:
I’m excited to open the project beyond just the crypto community, with HyperMint’s ability to easily accept credit cards and ensure this mint is smooth and secure.”
Ivan Soto-Wright, the CEO of MoonPay commented on the partnership as a pivotal step in the NFTs space. He noted that the “Rags to Richie” collection shows there’s more to art for artists and audiences.
The NFT launch will be followed by a Live DJ Set in The Sandbox, featuring Monopoly.
