Writing a business proposal is one of those things that can really bog you down and make your work much more difficult than it needs to be. The good news, though, is that drafting a business proposal isn't as complex as you may think!
Once you learn the basics, you'll find yourself completing a business proposal template in no time and with minimal stress. The following tips will help:
1. Keep your proposal simple and concise.
Not every potential client or customer is going to want all of the details; sometimes, they just want the top-level information so they know whether or not to go ahead with your products or services. So keep each section short and concise, focusing only on what matters most to the reader.
2. Sell your company with the introduction.
People are busy, so they don't have time to read through your entire business proposal unless you have something of value to offer them right out of the gate. Instead of assuming that people will want anything you're offering, tell them why they should be interested and what they stand to gain by using or buying from you. Not only will this boost your response rate, but it'll also help establish trust with potential new clients!
3. Go into detail only when absolutely necessary.

Remember, some people only need the top-level details before deciding whether or not to go ahead with your products or services; others are going to want more detail before they consider your business. So tailor each section of your business proposal accordingly, giving enough detail to include those that require more information but cutting down on the fluff for those who only need the bare-bones information.
4. Make sure you're asking questions when necessary.
Not every potential client or customer is going to want exactly what you have to offer, so be sure to ask them what they are looking for if it's not immediately clear. Even though some clients may opt out of using your products or services, they might still have some useful feedback for you that could help you target better markets in the future.
5. Ask questions at the end of each section that will help strengthen your content.

This will not only help you gather feedback from your readers, but it'll also give them an opportunity to feel more invested in the content and want more of what you have to offer. So consider asking questions such as: "What do you think about this?" or "Have you ever experienced something similar before?"
6. Make sure to include a call-to-action for each section/paragraph/sentence.
You may be able to convince some people with great writing, but a lot of people are going to need a reason why they should use your business's products or services — or at least a good reason why they shouldn't!
And without one, they're only going to think about your business for a short period of time before moving on. With that in mind, make sure that you give them enough incentive to stick around and continue reading and ideally using or buying from your services.
7. Keep everything as simple as possible.
If you notice any areas where the language is too complicated or confusing, find a way to simplify it!
And it doesn't hurt if you throw in some metaphors and other types of figurative speech to spark interest either . Just use these sparingly, though, as they might ruin the overall tone of your proposal.
8. Be sure to focus on those who will use your products or services first.
You should always be sure to address potential clients first before focusing on the specifics of what you're offering. Doing so will help you establish trust with readers and keep them reading so they can find out more about how exactly they'll benefit from using your business's products or services.
9. Include anything else that might pique your reader's interest.
This includes photos, videos, testimonials — anything else that could make it easier for potential customers to see themselves using your products or services!
You don't need much to achieve this; sometimes, even a few words in your sample business proposal can do the trick if properly used .
10. Don't be afraid to get creative when you need to!
If the language or tone of your business proposal is too similar to that in all other proposals, potential clients might believe that there's nothing special about what you have to offer. That means they'll probably move on without a second thought. So, if necessary, find ways to make your proposal stand out from the rest by being more creative with its contents and structure.
