- Mobile game focused on in-game economy to launch this summer
- Lepricon to build dedicated blockchain as the game’s economic engine
- Lepricon will provide wallet, marketplace, and batch minting technology

Lepricon, the blockchain gaming company, has announced a partnership with Hayabusa Studios, an independent game studio and transmedia company in the Middle East, developing a multi-media enterprise called Tower’s Gate. This immersive world is centred on a survival/immersive simulation game developed in Unreal Engine 5 for PC and console. It will also feature a mobile commercial trading game that provides an alternative way to interact with this fully realised metaverse.
The foundation for the game world is a detailed and complex economy powered by a dedicated blockchain developed in partnership with Lepricon.
The development budget for Tower’s Gate is over US$10 million.
Tower’s Gate
Tower’s Gate for PC and consoles is at its heart a survival game, where your character is not the central protagonist but instead finds themself in a much larger world that continues to exist whether you are there or not. You have the option to set your game instance to run 1:1 with time as it passes in the real world. You may play alone or with up to 10 people on private servers. As a survival game, you will develop your character with an individual skill system covering everything from combat to commerce.
That ongoing narrative will lead your character to situations requiring combat, including exploring both fixed and procedurally generated game dungeons. It will also enable your character to experience unexpected world events such as musical performances in public venues. You will also experience the wind and rain as the in-game weather systems will be driven by real-world data.
Most importantly, Hayabusa will build the world of Tower’s Gate upon a complete economic engine powered by Blockchain technology. The in-game currency will be a blockchain-derived token, as will numerous commodities, such as wood and copper, refined materials such as steel, and finished goods such as ships.
Your choice is not to play as a stealth or tank character; it is whether you want to be a player of action, a titan of industry, or a king of commerce. You can be one, or you can be all.
Tower’s Gate for PC and consoles is slated to launch early access in the summer of 2023.
Tower’s Gate Mobile Game
The mobile Tower’s Gate game will offer gamers their first look at the Tower’s Gate multiverse. Whether you are at home, on a train, or sitting in a restaurant, the entire economy of Tower’s Gate will be available to you at your fingertips. You will trade commodities and manage your investment and property portfolio through the app.
The mobile game will be a direct window on the game economy in real-time, in effect acting as your in-game wallet, as well as the heart of your business empire. It will feature a host of play and earn mechanics that tie directly into the same game world that you will later be able to experience in unprecedented detail in the Unreal Engine.
We expect Tower’s Gate for iPhone and Android to launch late this summer.
Enter Lepricon and its Leprichain Technology
Lepricon has been working on a step by step approach to developing the tools to make blockchain work with games the way it should.
They evangelise the concept of the player-owned economy but put gameplay and user experience first. Our recent game launches, although simple, have allowed us to re-examine how blockchains work for in-game economies and how 3D engines such as Unity or Unreal can access blockchains.
Now with Tower’s Gate, a true AAA game incorporating blockchain to make a persistent and authentic economy within a game world, we can take this to the next level.
There are two technical areas where Lepricon will be working closely with Hayabusa Studios:
- Creating a dedicated sidechain with a unique consensus validator node system where validators earn in-game currency and in-game commodities, thereby making validating transactions part of the game.
- C++ (Unreal Engine) integrations of our in-game wallet, batch minting and marketplace technologies.
The Tower’s Gate chain and blockchain-metaverse will feature:
- A 2-token system (in-game currency and DAO governance)
- A marketplace for trading commodities
- 30,000 islands available through three separate land lotteries
- 350,000 property nodes for lottery and whitelist
- Over 7 million activity nodes for purchase
Joshua Galloway joins Hayabusa Team as an Advisor
Given the close relationship between the two companies in developing this ground-breaking game, Lepricon founder & CEO, Joshua Galloway, has been appointed as a strategic advisor to Hayabusa Studios. He has over 20 years of experience in video games and blockchain and extensive experience launching online persistent game worlds and mobile games. He will work closely with Co-CEO and Chief Creative Officer Allen Kruse to help Tower’s Gate reach its true potential.
Joshua will also help the Tower’s Gate team launch the in-game token. One of the most exciting features of this token launch will be the opportunity to be fair. The game development is fully-funded, so there is no need to pre-sale the blockchain tokens. This financial stability opens up the possibility to reward participants with tokens purely for positive in-game activity, earning in-game currency the way you do in any new game — by playing.
What Happens Next?
Lepricon will be expanding its team to focus a unit specifically on development for Tower’s Gate. At the same time, both companies will be gearing up for more formal announcements to both the gaming and blockchain worlds.
Those reading this article are among the first to know about Tower’s Gate. But not for long.
About Lepricon
Lepricon is reimagining the possibilities for entertainment through blockchain technology and seeking to establish the general acceptance of player-owned economies in games. We believe that gaming can and should be the first killer-on ramp to mainstream adoption, and Lepricon’s stated mission is to catalyse this outcome.
Our activities break into three distinct tracks; technology, entertainment and DeFi.
Technology:
At the core of this strategy is Lepricon’s own high-speed, gas-less Ethereum-compatible side chain, Leprichain. We are developing software solutions in the form of SDKs, which will empower mainstream game development studios to incorporate blockchain technology into their games. These solutions are built upon and powered by Leprichain, with the intent to create a drag and drop blockchain solution for mainstream game developers.
Entertainment:
Lepricon is developing several in-house entertainment activities that operate on Leprichain, including our collection of arcade and carnival games at Lepricon City. The first games are straightforward, but we will develop more complex games that demonstrate Leprichain’s capabilities over time. We will leverage these demonstration games to encourage third party dApp developers to deploy on Leprichain.
DeFi:
Leprichain and all of the dApps that run on it are powered by our ERC-20 / BEP-20 utility token, L3P. Lepricon’s DeFi portal will enable L3P holders to manage their tokens, participate in governance, and benefit from advanced yield-earning activities. Lepricon’s DeFi portal will launch towards the end of the fourth quarter of 2021.
