LOS ANGELES, CA - Prince’s legendary Bass guitar player and Grammy award-winning producer, Andrew Gouché, is excited to announce a brand new venture alongside the emerging financial group, New Black Wall Street, LLC (NBWS) to revolutionize the concert-going experience on a global scale. This innovative new vision that will allow Gouché to become the first musician ever to broadcast a live, personal NFT concert to an individual user in the comfort of their own home, all begins with the first live concert being broadcast this spring!
Backed by the visionary leaders of Wakanomy, a subsidiary of NBWS, and hosted by Open Sea, access to “Wakanomy Presents: NFT Live feat. Andrew Gouché” will be auctioned on April 21, 2021 as an NFT (non-fungible token), which is a unique token that can be tied to intangible and tangible items. The winner of this auction will receive the very first personal NFT concert, which will include a magical lineup of guest musicians and artists, streamed directly to them and any guests they choose to share with. These participants will become the pioneers of this cutting edge experience that, combined with the limitless potential of the NFT, will usher in the future of live music. They, along with Gouché and NBWS will also, simultaneously, encourage the mass adoption of cryptocurrency at a time when the music industry and so many others need innovative solutions to survive.
That need has revealed itself in countless ways over the last decade, but it was when it turned Gouché’s world upside down last year that he knew he had to play a bigger part in the shift. Over the course of his illustrious career, Gouché has recorded with artists across all genres including Prince, Chaka Khan, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Julio Iglesias, Madonna, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Earth Wind & Fire, Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, Patti LaBelle, Donna Summer, and Kirk Franklin, to name a few. And before March 2020, he traveled the world performing legendary shows to tens of thousands night after night. Then, a global pandemic hit… and at 61 years old, he found himself unable to earn a living doing the one thing he loves the most: playing bass guitar for countless fans worldwide. With travel bans, restrictions on live concerts, the shutdown of music studios, and the fear of contracting COVID-19 reducing his students’ demand for in person lessons, he searched for alternative ways to supplement his lost income and support his family. Without any other available options, he was forced to take a job delivering packages for Amazon to sustain his household.
“Sometimes challenging circumstances can force us to put our pride aside, and I’ve always believed in doing what I had to do until I can do what I want to do,” says Gouché, “so, while delivering those packages, a new desire was birthed inside of me to use my talents in a different way. I knew that there had to be a way to use my gifts to give back to lower-income families and those most affected by COVID-19… so I turned to NBWS.”
NBWS was quick to jump on board and together, they formed a vision that they know will inspire a new chapter of entertainment that not only brings communities together in an entirely different way… but one that unifies industries to help make a difference in the wake of unexpected challenges.
NBWS has pledged to donate a portion of all proceeds from this venture to help children of low-income families set up and fill their digital wallets with $100 of bitcoin. The event will also commemorate the life and legacy of the ever-revolutionary singer-songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist, Prince, on the 5-year anniversary of his passing.
